When you book City Strut, you will get a full entertainment package, avoiding further costs and organisation with other suppliers.

The Main package consists of:
1. Five-piece band:

Lead singer

Keyboards

Guitar

Bass

Drums

2. Arrangement of first/ special song (if doable - please let us know if you would like more details on this).
3. Stage and dance floor lighting.
4. All sound and PA equipment (for up to approx 300 people). Wireless mics also available for speeches.
5. Choice of set: 3 x 40, 2 x 1 hour or 1 x 1.5 hours.
6. Apple Mac to play music in iTunes during dinner, intervals and after the performance. If you wish, you can provide the CDs or an iPod to plug into the mixing desk. Saves on expensive DJ costs and you get the exact tunes you and your guests want.
7. Request songs from the set list. We will fully consult you on the type of music you want for the reception. Please note that you do not have to pick the entire set, just your favourites!
8. Direct liaison with the venue/ marquee providers to discuss health & safety and logistics.
9. Setup and performance times to suit your itinerary (we can be on call all day).
10. Dress to suit the event.


You can also choose to have different band sizes depending on the size of the venue, musical style you are looking for and budget. Which can be between 4-10 musicians

Four-piece: 'Balcony Band'
Created for smaller venues and compact stages, this format consists of the rhythm section (minus the keyboards) with a vocalist.

Six-piece: Two Vocals
Combining both a male and female singer give maximum versatility to the set.

Six-piece: One Horn
Add a sax or trumpet to the five-piece band. Great if you like your songs with a soul or jazz edge.

Other combinations
If you are interested in any musical combination of up to ten musicians we can consult on the suitability for the styles required and costs.

The extra musician choices are as follows:

Percussionist (congas, bongos, etc)

Horn section that can consist of:
1. Three-piece: sax, trumpet and trombone
2. Two-piece: sax and trumpet
3. One horn: sax or trumpet (as detailed above)

Extra vocalist (as detailed above)

If you pick all of the extra five musicians you create the 'Big Band Function Band', which recorded the demo used on this site.

A bit of Jazz for dinner or reception?
City Strut 'Bossa Jazz' band was created to subtley provide a relaxed and 'sophistacted' mood for a drinks reception or dinner. As the name suggests, the music is classic jazz and bossa nova, and the band sizes can be from a solo piano up to quintet. If you don't fancy a live band we can always play a wonderful selection from iTunes, but you do get a 30% discount on the the Bossa Jazz band if you book the City Strut main band too.
